ON THE ICE FIELDS
Video, Color, Sound, 12’34’’, 2009

An
old wardrobe, which seems to accommodate all the
belongings of two women (including the artists themselves),
is placed on a frozen pond. The central motif
is the ice field. Despite the winter weather they picnic
and make a fire on the ice. As a musical interlude a
morbid chorus plays – “Dear God, please kill me now
I don’t wanna live anymore …” – which sounds
ominous, and indeed the wardrobe is executed, shot,
and smashed to pieces.
