In the exhibition Meet Us In The Desert, the artists Sissa Micheli and Borjana Ventzislavova enter into a mutual dialogue through the media of photography, video and text. Common themes are desert and volcanic landscapes of an environmentally polluted neoliberal world, in which they intervene artistically. The landscapes present post-apocalyptic scenarios and alternative survival strategies. In the foreground is a content-media interaction, which is the basis for the creation of new artistic works.

Micheli's works oscillate between reality and fiction, between the present and the future - an irritating combination that aims to address collective emotions such as fear, the need for protection or even the hope for survival strategies. Ventzislavova's art is based on a "magical" complexity. Her works are directly related to relevant themes of our time. At the same time, the artist translates these reflections on reality into a metaphorical form that opens up imaginations for a critical analysis of our society.
