Sissa Micheli sends us on a journey, on a narrative course, beginning with a lighthouse; the lighthouse stands as symbol for orientation and security – it decides our position, leads the way, makes us aware of the depths, and makes possible the avoidance of perils, keeping us on our path.
In her exhibition shipwrecked moments Sissa Micheli once more presents herself as both discoverer and researcher. With the help of disparate media – photography, film, installation, sculpture, and drawing – she throws light on selected events, focuses on single episodes, all with the intention of showing us the way.
